SecureHorizons can provide more health care benefits than original Medicare
provides with low or no plan premiums and co-payments (You must be entitled
to Medicare Part A and continue to pay Part B premiums), no deductibles and
virtually no paperwork, when using contracted providers.
As a SecureHorizons member, you choose a primary care physician from a substantial
list of conveniently located contracted doctors.
If you're not absolutely satisfied with a primary care physician, you're
certainly free to choose another from our contracted network. In fact, they
will be happy to make all the necessary arrangements for you. Just give us
a call.
If the Plan generates a bit of skepticism from you, don't feel badly. After
all, how can anyone offer quality health care coverage while charging such
low plan premiums, co-payments, and no deductibles?
Here's how: We are a Medicare Advantage Organization contracting with the federal
government. This contract allows us to administer the health care benefits for
Medicare beneficiaries. In return, the government pays us a fixed monthly amount
for each member.
As a result, members not only get quality health care coverage without the
expense of high plan premiums or deductibles, they have virtually no paperwork
to contend with. And at the same time, they still enjoy more health care benefits
and services than original Medicare offers for little or no additional cost.
To get a Secure Horizons Medicare PlusChoice plan there are only 3 Federal
requirements:
You must permanently reside in the SecureHorizons service area approved
by CMS.
You must be entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Medicare Part B
(this applies to all PacifiCare states with the exception of PacifiCare of
Washington).
You must not currently have end stage renal disease (ESRD) (that is permanent
kidney failure, which requires regular kidney dialysis) or be receiving routine
kidney dialysis. (This does not apply if you are currently a non-Medicare
member of PacifiCare).
