Premera Blue Cross is discontinuing the Individual & Family Heritage Preferred Plus 30 plan for non-grandfathered members, effective December 31, 2011. In it’s place, a new plan will be offered, the Preferred 35, with effective dates beginning on January 1, 2012.

The Heritage Preferred Plus 30 plan includes a limited pharmacy benefit of $5,000 per calendar year. The new Preferred 35 plan covers only generic prescription drugs with no annual limit. In addition, the plan’s deductible will change from $1,000 to $1,800.
